Purchasing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for chemicals and raw materials.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
• Ensure timely procurement of chemicals, lab supplies, and consumables as per production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future chemical requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Maintain purchase records, invoices, and contracts for audit and compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with the production and R&D teams to understand chemical specifications and ensure quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations during procurement, storage, and handling.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to build a sustainable supply chain.
• Track market trends, new chemical products, and pricing to support cost optimization.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or documentation.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Proven experience (2–5 years) in chemical procurement or purchase department, preferably in manufacturing, pharma, or chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical products, safety data sheets (MSDS), and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, or procurement software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Pay: ₹16,747.63 - ₹36,687.64 per month
