Purchase & Store Supervisor

Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement & Material Sourcing: ·        Source and procure raw materials and components including steel parts, plastic, FRP, glass, rubber items, paints, adhesives, and consumables. ·        Maintain cost sheets and support budgeting activities by providing accurate procurement cost data. 2. BOM Preparation & Material Planning: ·        Collaborate with Design and Production teams for accurate Bill of Materials (BOM). ·        Ensure timely availability of materials as per production schedules and project timelines. 3. Stores & Inventory Management: ·        Oversee receipt, inspection, stacking, and issuance of materials in line with FIFO principles. ·        Maintain up-to-date inventory records and ensure minimum stock levels to prevent production delays. ·        Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances. 4. Coordination & Documentation: ·        Coordinate with internal departments—Production, Quality, Accounts—for smooth material flow and documentation. ·        Prepare and maintain all procurement and inventory-related documentation for audit and MIS reporting. 5. Time-Bound Execution: ·        Ensure all procurement and store-related tasks are completed within defined timelines. ·        Proactively follow up with suppliers and transporters to avoid delays. Key Skills Required: ·        Solid knowledge of inventory control systems (FIFO, stock ledger maintenance). ·        Experience in BOM creation and interpretation. ·        Understanding of costing and sourcing of diverse materials used in bus body fabrication. ·        Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities. ·        Strong organizational and documentation skills. ·        Familiarity with MS Excel.
