Purchase Manager

Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager will oversee and manage all procurement activities related to materials, equipment, and services required for residential apartment projects. The role involves vendor management, negotiation, budgeting, and ensuring the timely supply of quality materials at the best possible price.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, source, and procure all construction materials required for residential apartment projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain a strong vendor network for civil, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and accounts departments to ensure smooth material flow.
• Prepare and track purchase orders, quotations, and material inward/outward registers.
• Monitor market trends, new products, and material price changes.
• Ensure quality standards and specifications are met for all materials.
• Maintain procurement records, budgets, and cost reports.
• Resolve vendor issues and ensure adherence to company purchase policies.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of residential building materials — cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, waterproofing, tiles, electrical, plumbing, woodwork, paints, and finishing materials.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Vendor management and sourcing expertise.
• Good understanding of purchase documentation, billing, and GST procedures.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP, or purchase management software.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in purchase/procurement in residential construction.
• Experience with large-scale apartment or gated community projects preferred.

Pay: ₹17,304.88 - ₹55,908.91 per month
