Job Title: Purchase Manager Role Overview The Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, and procuring construction machinery, capital goods, raw materials, and machine spare parts. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, quality compliance, timely availability of materials, and effective vendor coordination. Strong computer proficiency is essential for managing procurement systems, documentation, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Procure construction and machinery, capital equipment, raw materials, and machine spare parts as per organisational requirements Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and comparative statements Ensure timely procurement to avoid production or project delays Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production teams Verify specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards before purchase Maintain accurate procurement records, bills, invoices, and supplier documentation Coordinate with accounts for billing, payments, and reconciliation Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures Computer & Technical Skills (Mandatory) Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication Capable of preparing cost analysis, reports.
