This role oversees all purchasing activities for the organization. It ensures smooth ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and payment processes. The position manages vendor relationships, maintains compliance, and supports financial accuracy across departments.
• Generate accurate reports, verify data, and ensure sanitation compliance in all storage areas.
• Support the Executive Chef in purchasing food, beverages, and controllable items while maintaining budgeted costs.
• Order materials and supplies based on business requirements and maintain proper stock levels.
• Manage first-in-first-out inventory rotation and ensure safety and sanitation standards in storerooms.
• Inspect deliveries for quality, quantity, and adherence to purchase orders.
• Maintain inventory controls, perform costing, process invoices, and complete period-end inventory tasks.
• Communicate regularly with kitchen teams, restaurant management, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Escalate pricing or availability issues when needed.
• Apply sound accounting procedures and comply with all relevant laws and standards.
• Use computer systems to record, track, and analyze purchasing and inventory data.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and financial reporting.
• Stay updated on technical and system-related knowledge.
• Support disciplinary actions and performance reviews where required.
• Assist in meeting departmental financial goals and managing tax-related requirements.
• Ensure accurate profit-and-loss documentation by maintaining proper inventory and purchasing controls.
• Participate in audits and support compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Contribute to operational strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
• Help maintain a high standard of service quality by ensuring materials and products are available when needed.
• Address internal service concerns promptly to support smooth operations.
• Contribute to profitability through audits, cost control, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and maintain safety programs in storage and receiving areas.
• Support emergency procedures and maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
• Manage conflict effectively and communicate clearly across departments.
• Maintain strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
