Role Overview: Only footwear industry The Purchase & Sourcing Executive/Manager plays a pivotal role in securing the timely delivery of goods and materials required for the company’s operations. This role focuses on end-to-end vendor management, proactive sourcing strategies, and ensuring supply reliability while balancing cost, quality, and sustainability objectives. The position demands a results-oriented professional who can drive supplier performance and ensure materials are delivered on schedule to meet business needs. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: ✅ Vendor & Supplier Management • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors locally and globally. • Build strategic partnerships with key vendors to ensure continuous and timely supply. • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs like on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost competitiveness. ✅ Procurement Planning & Execution • Create and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and clarity of specifications and delivery schedules. • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align procurement schedules with operational needs. • Track orders to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve delays or disruptions. ✅ Sourcing Strategy Development • Develop sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, reduce lead times, and improve cost efficiency. • Explore alternative sources, negotiate long-term agreements, and leverage technology to improve sourcing outcomes. ✅ Cost & Contract Management • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to secure the best value without compromising quality or timelines. • Analyze cost drivers and market trends to support strategic decision-making. ✅ Compliance & Documentation • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery schedules, and supplier communications. ✅ Continuous Improvement & Innovation • Drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. • Recommend and implement digital tools (e.g., supplier portals, procurement software) to enhance sourcing efficiency. ⸻ Key Skills & Competencies: • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. • Analytical mindset with proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. • Knowledge of local and international sourcing regulations and best practices. • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to mitigate risks and resolve supply issues.
