Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery, and services.
Negotiate terms of purchase including price, payment terms, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
Issue purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate purchase records.
Ensure timely procurement of required materials to avoid project delays.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Evaluate quotations and prepare cost comparisons for management approval.
Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Stores, Projects, Accounts) to understand procurement needs.
Develop and maintain inventory control systems to minimize shortages and excess stock.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
Track market trends, research new products, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Skills Required :

Strong knowledge of procurement & supply chain management.
Negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of ERP / Tally or procurement software (preferred).
Time management and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
26 years of experience in Purchase & Procurement (Manufacturing / Construction / uPVC & Aluminium industry preferred).
