Estimation Engineer – uPVC/Aluminium

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimation Engineer specializing in uPVC and Aluminium at Prakom Group of Companies, located in Hyderabad. The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), performing project estimations, conducting research, and negotiating with clients and suppliers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Drawing & BOQ Analysis

• Study architectural drawings, tender documents, and specifications.
• Extract quantities (take-off) for uPVC & Aluminium works.
• Prepare accurate 

  BOQ (Bill of Quantities)

   for projects.

1. Cost Estimation

• Estimate materials, labor, and overhead costs for fabrication and installation.
• Compare vendor quotes and finalize cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare preliminary & detailed project costing sheets.

1. Tendering & Proposal

• Prepare technical & commercial proposals for clients.
• Support the sales team with accurate quotations.
• Assist in tender submission, clarifications, and negotiations.

1. Coordination

• Coordinate with design (AutoCAD team), purchase, and production departments.
• Communicate with suppliers for updated pricing & material specifications.
• Support project managers with cost-related data during execution.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain estimation records, cost data, and rate analysis.
• Prepare project-wise cost comparison reports.
• Assist management in cost control and budgeting.

Key Skills Required:

• Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of 

  uPVC & Aluminium systems, profiles, hardware, and fabrication methods

  .
• Familiarity with façade, windows, doors, and glazing works.

• Software Skills:

• AutoCAD (basic understanding for measurement & drawing reading).
• MS Excel (formulas, costing sheets, pivot tables).
• ERP / Estimation software (if available).

• Estimation & Analytical Skills:

• Accurate quantity take-off and rate analysis.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare competitive and precise quotations.

• Communication & Coordination:

• Good vendor negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with design, sales, and project teams.
• Clear documentation and reporting ability.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Architectural / Related Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in estimation for 

  uPVC & Aluminium fabrication / façade industry

• Freshers with strong technical background can be considered for 

  Junior Estimation Engineer
