Job Description

Job Title: Public Private Partnership (PPP) Specialist Number of Positions: 1 Level of Engagement: Full-Time Location: Kolkata Compensation: Negotiable Reports To: Project Director (PD), Senior Project Manager (SPM) Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Communication, Media Science, Management, Public Relations, Administration, Economics, Social Science, or a related discipline from a government-recognized university or institution. Experience: Experience: Minimum of 15 years of work experience in the Public Sector, preferably in the Social Sector. Experience in leading Women Empowerment of Rural Livelihood, multidisciplinary teams and managing projects as a lead member. Mandatory experience in World Bank-funded projects, along with relevant certificates as proof of involvement. Prior experience in government or UN agency-funded projects is preferable. Experience with initiatives related to women’s economic empowerment in West Bengal is highly desired. Skills and Competencies: Interpersonal and Networking Skills : Outstanding interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively with stakeholders across various sectors, including government, civil society, private organizations, academic institutions, and media. Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships effectively. Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in Bangla (spoken and reading) is essential. Organizational Skills : Exceptional task management, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments under tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Public Relations and Advocacy : Proficiency in networking, advocacy, and public relations, with familiarity with business chambers, civil society, and relevant institutions in West Bengal. Technical Proficiency : Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for research, analytics, and presentation purposes. Flexibility and Travel : Willingness to travel across districts to provide technical assistance. Ability to handle various assignments simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Partnership Development : Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with strategic partners, stakeholders, and collaborators. Foster partnerships across government, private sector, civil society, academic institutions, and media to advance women’s workforce participation in West Bengal. Engagement Planning : Develop a Partnership Development and Engagement Plan to strategically align partnerships with the Women Economic Empowerment Project (WEP). Create and maintain a sector-wise segregated database of stakeholders and potential partners. Opportunity Identification : Conduct research to identify areas of opportunity for new partnerships, providing rationale and developing prioritization parameters. Explore synergies and strategic alignment for impactful collaborations. Private Sector Collaboration : Identify and engage potential private sector partners, such as business chambers, NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), alliances, networks, and academic institutions. Establish partnerships to secure financial and intellectual resources, ensuring sustainability beyond the project duration. Advocacy and Resource Mobilization : Advocate for sustainable partnerships by aligning the project’s objectives with stakeholder interests. Mobilize resources and support from the private and civil sectors to strengthen the project’s impact. Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing : Facilitate dialogue and knowledge-sharing sessions among stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach. Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to stakeholders across districts. Monitoring and Reporting : Track partnership outcomes and provide regular updates to the Project Director and Senior Project Manager. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to highlight progress and opportunities.
