Job Title: Gender and Women's Economic Empowerment Specialist Location: West Bengal Engagemen t: Full-time Reporting to: Project Director / SPM Summary: We are seeking a qualified professional to provide technical support for advancing gender equality and women's economic empowerment in West Bengal. The role involves policy analysis, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, data support, and private sector collaboration, particularly under government or donor-funded projects such as those supported by the World Bank. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or related field. 10+ years of experience, including 5 years in gender-focused roles. Experience with government World Bank-funded projects and work in West Bengal. Key Responsibilities: Review and align gender policies with global standards. Support gender budgeting, audits, GBV redressal mechanisms, and action plans. Conduct gender-related training and awareness programs. Engage with stakeholders and advocate for inclusive economic participation. Provide inputs for data collection, research, M&E, and pilot initiatives. Collaborate with the private sector and CSR entities to promote women’s employment. Skills Required: Proficiency in English and Bengali. Strong communication, analytical, training, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with international gender tools and the MS Office suite. Willingness to travel and manage multiple tasks.
