Key Responsibilities: Contact county tax offices, municipal agencies, and local authorities to obtain property tax information via phone, email, or online portals. Request, verify, and document property tax amounts, due dates, delinquency statuses, and payment histories. Research and interpret various tax calculation methods, including millage rates, assessed values, exemptions, and special assessments. Record and update tax data accurately in internal systems for use in mortgage servicing, escrow analysis, or loan origination. Coordinate with internal departments such as Escrow, Loan Servicing, and Title to ensure timely procurement and verification of tax data. Identify and escalate issues such as discrepancies in tax records or inaccessible tax offices. Maintain a high level of compliance with state and federal regulations regarding tax information handling. Manage multiple tax inquiries simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. Stay informed about changing tax regulations, deadlines, and procedures across various U.S. jurisdictions. Qualifications: bachelors degree preferred.
