Project Manager – IAM / Authentication (GCB 4)

Location: Pune & Hyderabad

The Project Manager will lead complex, multi-country programs in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) space, focusing on secure, scalable and compliant authentication solutions for a global financial services organisation. The role requires strong project management skills, deep understanding of regulatory environments and the ability to drive cross‑functional teams to successful delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of IAM / authentication projects, ensuring on‑time, in‑scope and on‑budget execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans; manage scope, resources, schedules, budgets and reporting.
• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams (project managers, control owners, BAs, architects, security and operations teams).
• Work with architecture and infrastructure teams to design and deliver secure, scalable production solutions.
• Support PoC / pilot testing with application owners to adopt open‑standards‑based authentication protocols.
• Ensure strong governance, risk and issue management across the project lifecycle, including timely escalation and remediation.
• Operate in a regulated environment and ensure alignment with global regulations (e.g. GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
• Provide clear, regular status updates and dashboards to senior stakeholders and leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement, proposing process and control enhancements to increase efficiency, scalability and security.

Required qualifications and experience:

• 7–10 years of hands‑on project management experience, ideally in large, complex, global programmes.
• Proven delivery experience using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
• Strong track record managing technology or cybersecurity projects, preferably in financial services / regulated environments.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders (CXOs, senior programme managers, functional leaders) and presenting project status, risks and timelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead geographically distributed teams.

Technical skills (IAM / authentication):

• Good understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Solid knowledge of authentication protocols such as Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, OIDC and OAuth.
• Experience working with applications / platforms to integrate with identity providers (AD, Entra ID / Azure AD).
• Ability to lead technical discussions and explain the benefits and trade‑offs of different authentication approaches to business and IT stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to core banking, payments or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with MFA technologies and FIDO‑based authentication.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g. NIST, COBIT).

Tools:

• Hands‑on experience with JIRA and Confluence (or similar project management and collaboration tools).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and reporting tools such as Power BI for dashboards and project reporting.

Education and certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner / PMI‑ACP) strongly preferred.
