Project Managers

The Project Manager in GITS [Global IT Services] is responsible for leading, coordinating, and motivating multiple Agile teams to deliver high-quality products or services that provide exceptional business value, adhering to Agile principles and practices. This role focuses on facilitation, communication, and adaptability over rigid, up-front planning.

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Work with Solution consultants and architects to understand project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the team follows Agile principles (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or a hybrid approach) and best practices.
  • Facilitation and Team Support:
  • Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., Daily Stand-ups/Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Act as a servant leader to coach, mentor, and empower the development team to be self-organizing.
  • Proactively identify, remove, and escalate impediments/blockers that impact team performance and productivity.
  • Stakeholder and Communication Management:
  • Maintain clear, transparent, and timely communication with stakeholders, the Product Owner, and the development team.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations for project deliverables and progress.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, progress metrics (e.g., burndown charts), risks, and issues.
  • Risk and Quality Management:
  • Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for potential project risks and issues.
  • Monitor the development process to ensure quality standards and the Definition of Done are met.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing team performance metrics and implementing changes based on retrospective feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

A successful Project Manager blends traditional project management knowledge with an Agile mindset.

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, or Project Management).
  • 6 to 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Agile certifications are highly desirable (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Agilist).

Note - Candidates should have good communication skills, people management skills, portfolio management & risk analyst management skills.
