Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Project Architect to join our Hyderabad-based team. The architect will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, layouts, and conceptual plans for both commercial and residential projects . As this role will support our U.S.-based clients by generating high-quality design documentation, it is important for the candidate to have a thorough knowledge of regulations, U.S. building codes, Construction Documents set, and other relevant guidelines. A proven experience of at least 4 years in preparing such drawings using relevant tools is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Develop architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction drawings based on client briefs and design guidelines. Create conceptual designs, space planning, and layout options for commercial (retail, office, mixed-use) and residential projects. Understand zoning, ADA, egress, and U.S. building code principles to ensure compliance-ready plans. Coordinate with in-house cost estimators, project coordinators, structural engineers, MEP Design engineer, and other stakeholders for alignment on scope, intent, and deliverables. Incorporate client feedback and revise plans accordingly in a timely manner. Prepare drawing sets that are suitable for handoff to U.S.-licensed architects for stamping and permitting. Utilize BIM and CAD software for plan creation, rendering, and 3D modeling as required. Maintain high documentation quality, file organization, and version control. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) 4+ years of professional experience on US projects , preferably in both residential and commercial sectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp , and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with U.S. building codes , design standards, and permitting processes is strongly preferred . Experience in preparing construction document sets (CD sets) for U.S. or international clients. Strong visual presentation and design detailing skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities for efficient collaboration with clients from various countries. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Quick learner. This is the key to success at our organisation as the clients are from different backgrounds and work on a variety of projects. Knowledge on Green Building Principles is very important. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree. Prior experience working for U.S.-based architecture or construction firms. Certification related to IBC, NFPA, ADA guidelines , and green building principles (e.g., LEED). Understanding of the U.S. construction documentation workflow, including Design Development (DD), Schematic Design (SD), and Construction Documentation (CD) phases.
