Products R&D Manager - OBK

This Role will help establishment of Exploration Products in Nashik products R&D to support operation for smooth production and further functional growth in products.

Localization is key for Exploration Products in Nashik R&D. This role will support and make sure right level of quality during localization will be done.

Job description:

Epiroc India is looking for enthusiastic and organized Products R&D Manager. The position will be based at our Nashik office.

In this role you will be responsible broadly for following activities:

• Secure fulfilment of legal and technical specifications relating to OBK + Localization technical support to Operation.
• Act as Manager for the CPI R&D Operation-OBK3.0 ownership of the cross functional CPI coordination i.e., "an overall cooperation for the best of the products within OBK at local level.
• Actively contribute to -and support the Global Products R&D organization.
• Project Planning & Scheduling: Proficiency in developing project plans, timelines, and schedules.
• Quality Assurance & Control: Experience in ensuring project outputs meet or exceed quality standards through stringent quality control processes.
• Establish and follow up annual product targets through relevant KPI's.
• Secure proper prioritization between proposed- and ongoing activities.
• Secure product functionality.
• Secure product availability.
• Secure an adequate warranty cost level.
• Secure a competitive Product Cost (PK) level.
• Ensure that development work is done in accordance with the Epiroc SRD, Design Manual.
• Ensure proper competences and resources in your department including a high level of application knowledge and supporting tools.
• Ensure the competitiveness and sustainable performance of the products on the markets until phased out of production.
• Secure participation in forums: Product Safety Committee (PS),
• Field Situation Meetings (FSM), Production Situation Meetings (PSM),
• TPM meetings (test planning meetings) for both lab-tests and field tests Local Product Board (LPB),
• Short Requirement Plan meetings (SRP) and Site Management Meeting (SMM). Minimum attendance at the SMM shall cover monthly reporting of the overall CPI -and Product Team status.

Experience requirements.

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or design, or related field.
• 12-15 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering for Mobile Heavy Equipment.
• Proficiency in Creo, Teamcenter & M3 is must.

Expertise in Mechanical components development, Knowledge of Manufacturing process and Quality systems.
