This Position reports to:

Plant Manager - MOLM India

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. The work model for the role is: #LI_Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion business based at Vadodara, India: You will be mainly accountable for:

Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.
Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.
Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates. Ensures that Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization.
Oversees the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and manages the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply Chain Management (e.g., subcontract employees are provided guidance on health and safety requirements and work practices, and issued permits to work).
Provides support to the Sales team, as required, during customer visits to explain the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities. Collaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes.

Qualifications for the role

15 to 20 years of experience in manufacturing and production field.
Full time engineering in Electrical or Mechanical background.
Promotes and enables collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results for ABB.
Provides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.
Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope.
