20 + years of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Merchandising & Product Development:

• Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with the brand's vision, target market, and financial objectives.
• Lead the seasonal assortment planning process, including category mix, product segmentation, pricing strategies, and inventory targets.
• Conduct in-depth market research, trend forecasting, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform product development decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Design and Sales teams to translate creative concepts into commercially viable collections, ensuring aesthetic appeal and market relevance.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from initial concept to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Manage pricing architecture to optimize margins while remaining competitive in the market.

Production & Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee the entire production cycle, from raw material sourcing to finished goods delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage a network of global and local manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and building strong relationships.
• Develop and implement robust production planning and scheduling processes to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.
• Establish and enforce stringent quality control standards at every stage of production, from fabric inspection to final garment checks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production processes, supply chain efficiency, and cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Manage logistics, warehousing, and distribution to ensure efficient movement of goods from factories to retail/distribution points.
• Oversee ethical sourcing and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, ensuring compliance with labour laws and environmental standards.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of merchandisers, production managers, sourcing specialists, and quality control professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the department and across cross-functional teams (Design, Sales, Marketing).
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the professional growth of team members.
• Ensure clear communication channels within the department and with external partners.
