Job Description

Shop Floor Supervision:Supervise day-to-day activities on the shop floor related to control panel fabrication and wiring. Coordinate workloads, assign tasks to technicians, and ensure timely completion of projects. Monitor production schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with project timelines. Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC). Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical or production issues. Maintain inventory levels of components and tools required for panel assembly. Train and mentor shop floor technicians and junior staff. Testing & Quality Assurance:Perform functional and continuity tests on completed control panels, including power-up tests, I/O checks, and PLC/HMI simulations. Identify and troubleshoot wiring or design issues; recommend and implement corrective actions. Document all test results and prepare test reports for customer or internal review. Verify compliance with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) with clients when required. Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and protection of components within panels. Qualifications:Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Experience: 4+ years in control panel manufacturing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead testing role. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and layout diagrams. Hands-on experience with LV panels, PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Familiarity with relevant testing equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.). Knowledge of standards such as IEC 61439, UL 508A, or IS/IEC codes. Skills & Competencies:Leadership and team coordination Attention to detail and quality mindset Effective communication and reporting skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) Safety-conscious and quality-driven Working Conditions: Predominantly shop-floor based; occasional site visits for commissioning or FAT support. PPE compliance required. Overtime or weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.
