Production Engineer

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to join our fast-paced toy manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in injection molding, excellent manpower management skills, and proven expertise in implementing Quick Mold Change (QMC) techniques to maximize efficiency and output.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations & Efficiency

• Optimize and manage all production processes, focusing primarily on the injection molding department to ensure toys meet high-quality standards and production targets.
• Lead the implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of Quick Mold Change (QMC) procedures to significantly reduce machine downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Monitor production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as scrap rate, cycle time, and output, initiating corrective actions to address deviations promptly.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery are operating optimally and coordinate with the maintenance team for preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Injection Molding Expertise

• Desired expertise in injection molding machine make FCS HN125, HN150, HN350.
• Oversee all injection molding processes, including mold setup, material preparation, parameter optimization (temperature, pressure, cycle time), and troubleshooting.
• Conduct mold trials and material evaluations for new toy parts, documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot complex molding defects (e.g., flash, short shots, warpage) and implement robust solutions.

Manpower and Shift Management

• Directly manage and supervise production staff across multiple shifts (e.g., 2-shift or 3-shift operations).
• Coordinate shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of production status, targets, and any ongoing issues.
• Schedule and delegate tasks to operators, technicians, and supervisors to maintain a smooth and continuous workflow.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation for production personnel, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality adherence.

Quality & Safety

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to implement process controls that prevent defects and ensure all products comply with safety and quality regulations (e.g., ASTM, EN-71).
• Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory safety procedures, particularly around heavy machinery and high-temperature processes.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in plastic / polymer / mechanical / production / manufacturing / industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a production engineering role, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment (e.g., plastics, automotive components, or toy manufacturing).
• Technical Skills: Must have extensive, proven experience with injection molding technology, materials, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated success in implementing and sustaining Quick Mold Change (QMC) systems.
• Management Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage, motivate, and organize a large production workforce across multiple shifts.
