About the Role

CAD Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Design and refine

  plastic parts

  for injection molding and other manufacturing methods.
• Optimize designs for

  cost, tooling, and ease of production

  .
• Work closely with Industrial Designers, Engineers, and vendors to translate concepts into production-ready designs.
• Support prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements.
• Maintain structured CAD files, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.

• Strong knowledge of

  plastic part design

  for consumer products.
• Hands-on experience in

  designing for injection molding

  .
• Understanding of part assembly and integration.

Preferred Skills

• Rhino SubD modeling

  for organic/freeform surface design.
• Ability to

  convert scan data into 3D parametric CAD

  (scan-to-3D workflow).
• Experience with toys, consumer products, or other mass-manufactured goods.
• Basic understanding of mold/tool design considerations.
