Job Title: Production Engineer (Junior Level) Location: Research and Innovation Park, IIT Delhi Full-Time | On-site About Zerodrag: Zerodrag is a fast-growing Indian startup building cutting-edge avionics systems for drones and aerial robotics. Our products — including flight controllers, GPS modules, and power systems — are designed, developed, and manufactured in-house to meet the demands of high-performance UAVs. Role Overview: We’re looking for a Junior Production Engineer to take charge of inventory, procurement, and vendor coordination, while ensuring a smooth and steady production pipeline. You’ll also work closely with our in-house SMT assembly line and contract manufacturers. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management Maintain stock levels of raw materials, PCBs, components, and finished goods. Forecast requirements based on production and sales schedules. Procurement & Vendor Coordination Create BOM-based procurement lists and raise purchase orders. Coordinate with vendors for sourcing, fabrication, and assembly. Track shipments and follow up on delivery timelines. Production & Assembly Support Work with SMT technicians and contract manufacturers to plan and execute production runs. Maintain documentation for lot tracking, assembly logs, and QA/QC. Process Optimization Identify gaps or inefficiencies and suggest improvements for better throughput and cost-efficiency. Requirements: Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical, or Production Engineering. 0.5 – 2 years of experience in electronics production or supply chain. Understanding of SMT assembly (reflow, stencil printing, PnP machines, etc.). Familiarity with BOMs, basic QC, vendor communication, and stock systems. Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets; ERP tools are a plus. Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Good to Have: Experience in a hardware startup or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) environment. Basic knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
