Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer Location: Research and Innovation Park, IIT Delhi Company: Zerodrag Technologies Private Limited Experience: 3–5 Years Type: Full-Time About Us: At Zerodrag , we are engineering the core systems that power intelligent UAVs. From flight control and motor control to communication systems and payloads , we design and build the complete electronics stack that enables high-performance, autonomous aerial platforms. We operate in a high-stakes environment where speed, precision, and innovation are non-negotiable. Our work pushes the boundaries of what unmanned systems can do — and we move fast to stay ahead. If you’re driven by impact and want to build the future of UAV technology, you’ll find your place here. Role Overview: We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to lead and execute the electronics design process for our products — from schematics to final production. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires strong technical ability, critical thinking, and adaptability. Responsibilities: Design hardware schematics based on detailed product and system-level requirements. Identify and source the right components for performance, cost, and supply chain optimization. Coordinate or delegate PCB layout tasks to the internal layout design team and oversee reviews. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for end-to-end integration. Validate hardware designs through testing, bring-up, and debugging of prototypes. Maintain clear documentation for schematics, BOMs, layout files, and test procedures. Take ownership of hardware deliverables under tight timelines and high expectations. Continuously refine the design process and stay up to date with industry trends and tools. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in schematic design using Altium Designer, KiCad, or any modern EDA tool. Comfortable working in a high-speed, iterative development environment. Strong debugging, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to adapt to changing requirements and take initiative independently. Nice to Have: Experience with high-speed digital, mixed-signal, or RF designs. Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices and industrial standards (IPC, ISO, MIL-STD). Exposure to embedded systems or firmware-hardware bring-up. What You Can Expect: A fast-paced, mission-driven work environment where your contributions directly impact real-world systems. A flexible work schedule and generous leave policy — we care about outcomes, not hours. While work-life balance is respected, we expect commitment during occasional crunch periods (typically less than 5% of the time). Ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow rapidly across multiple technology domains. A close-knit team that values transparency, initiative, and impact over hierarchy.
