About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality across all shoe manufacturing units — from cutting and component making to assembly and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute daily production schedules in coordination with production managers and supervisors.

Monitor workflow across different units (cutting, stitching, sole making, assembly, finishing, and packing) to ensure smooth operations.

Analyze and improve production processes for better efficiency, reduced wastage, and consistent product quality.

Ensure that all production lines (manual and conveyor-based) operate at optimal speed and output.

Work closely with the quality team to identify and correct defects or bottlenecks.

Prepare and maintain production reports, efficiency data, and material utilization records.

Assist in implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization initiatives.

Train operators and line staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

Support new product sampling, ensuring smooth transition from sample to bulk production.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machines and conveyors are in good working condition.

Requirements:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of experience in footwear or related manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of assembly line and conveyor-based production systems.

Strong understanding of production planning, material flow, and quality control.

Hands-on experience in process improvement and productivity enhancement.

Good communication and team coordination skills.

Proficient in MS Excel / ERP for production reporting.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in women’s footwear manufacturing (PU / TPR soles, uppers, etc.).

Exposure to lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S principles.

Knowledge of machinery used in cutting, stitching, sole making, and lasting operations.
