Production And Maintenance Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production and Maintenance Engineer to oversee operations in the Shot Blasting Department. This role will be responsible for managing the daily production activities, ensuring the efficient running of shot blasting machines, and maintaining equipment to ensure high-quality standards and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience in industrial maintenance, and an understanding of production processes in shot blasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Supervision:

• Oversee and coordinate the daily shot blasting production activities across all sites, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and time.

• Analyze production data and adjust processes to maximize productivity while minimizing waste and downtime.

• Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure the products meet required specifications and standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues in real-time to avoid delays.

• Optimize shot blasting processes and work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Maintenance Execution:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on shot blasting equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.

• Plan and execute corrective maintenance on malfunctioning machines, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.

• Ensure that spare parts inventory is adequately stocked and properly managed.

• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any parts replaced.

• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure a safe working environment and proper functioning of all machinery.

• Manage and execute machine setups, calibrations, and adjustments as required.

Team Handling & Site Discipline:

• Monitor Production, work quality, and conduct of operators/helpers at the site. • Coordinate daily assignments and ensure task completion as per schedules. • Communicate effectively with the head office or regional supervisor regarding site needs, material planning, or urgent escalations.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed during production and maintenance tasks.

• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the shot blasting area.

• Ensure that the department adheres to all regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.

• Provide safety training and guidance to operators and other team members.

Team Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to align production schedules and equipment usage.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators to relay information on production targets, issues, and resolutions.

• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers and operators on proper machine operations and maintenance techniques.

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to contribute insights on production improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Minimum – Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

o Minimum [12] years of experience in production engineering and maintenance, with a focus on shot blasting or similar manufacturing processes.

o Hands-on experience with shot blasting machines and equipment.

o Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery (pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems).

o Strong understanding of shot blasting processes and equipment.

o Knowledge of production scheduling, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

o Proficient in maintenance management software and equipment diagnostic tools.

o Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
