About The Team
The
Platform Sustainability
function is a cross-divisional function, linked to both the investment and product divisions of DWS Group. It coordinates and steers the business implementation of DWS’s Sustainability Strategy as well as the sustainability related regulatory requirements in the product and investment areas. Its focus is on the liquid product range of DWS Group and the product-related sustainability activities for alternative investments. Its activities comprise the development of sustainability-related frameworks as well as their integration into engagement processes, ESG integration processes and product-specific investment policies.The
Product Sustainability Regulation and Methodology team
is part of Platform Sustainability within the Product Division. The team is responsible for interpreting product-related sustainability requirements from a regulatory perspective, leading their implementation, and embedding them into product methodologies. To this end, the team also acts as a representative and interface to industry associations on sustainability topics in the product landscape. In its responsibility for sustainability-specific methodologies, the team reflects the expectations of our clients, regulatory requirements for sustainability-related products, as well as the latest developments in ESG data and scientific research. In carrying out these tasks, the team works closely with all sustainability experts at DWS, our clients, and colleagues within the Product Division.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Product Sustainability Analyst of the Platform Sustainability’s Regulation and Methodology Team, you will be jointly responsible for
- Translating sustainability frameworks into concrete ESG data points and logic (“ESG filters”) for DWS products
- Maintaining close communication and coordination with DWS’s ESG Engine team (central hub for ESG data structuring)
- Requesting ESG filters from the ESG Engine team and performing quality checks and controls on requested filters
- Closely collaborating with the Investment Guidelines Management team to ensure the correct implementation of the filters in the investment guidelines
- Supporting development of innovative ESG product methodologies with exposure to sustainability specialists and close collaboration with sustainability investment experts
Your Skills And Experience
Essential skills:
- University degree in Commerce/Science or similar
- Proficiency in MS-Office
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex topics clearly, logically, and transparently
- Strong analytical and methodological thinking to understand (regulatory) sustainability-related requirements and the associated implications and risks
- A strong team player with a high level of commitment, a personality characterized by diligence and reliability, and someone who thrives in a dynamic environment with constantly changing tasks
