Product Planning Manager

Position: Product Planning – EV & Mobility

Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibilities)

📌 Product Strategy & Roadmapping

Contribute to the planning of the product roadmap, including lifecycle updates, platform strategy, and feature/value evolution based on customer and business needs.

📌 Consumer-Backed Planning

Translate customer insights, competitive benchmarking, and market trends into actionable product decisions that shape the long-term roadmap.

📌 Cross-Vertical Coordination

Collaborate across multiple verticals — including D2C, charging, software, and hardware — to deliver seamless, full-stack product experiences.

📌 Business Case Support & Feature Evaluation

Assist in developing business cases for new products/features with a focus on cost-benefit analysis, feasibility, and customer impact.

📌 Cross-Functional Development Support

Work closely with Brand, Design, Engineering, Software, Supply Chain, Cell, and GTM teams to align on execution and drive timely delivery.

📌 Portfolio Planning & Optimization

Analyze the current portfolio to identify gaps, overlaps, or redundant SKUs and support rationalization or expansion proposals.

📌 Market & Trend Scanning

Track shifts in global EV ecosystems, adjacent industries (IoT, connected tech), and regulatory changes to guide proactive planning.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience

  in product planning, product strategy, or marketing — ideally in

  automotive, EV, or consumer tech sectors

• Exposure to either

  traditional auto development

  or

  agile/D2C environments

• Passionate about electric vehicles and mobility innovation; ideally an

  EV user or enthusiast

• Strong

  analytical mindset

  and

  strategic thinking

  with commercial acumen
• Excellent

  cross-functional collaboration

  and

  stakeholder management

  skills
• Comfortable presenting ideas to mid/senior leadership with data and clarity
• Educational background:

  Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, or related)

  ;

  MBA is a plus but not mandatory

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with

  EV-specific systems

  (e.g., battery packs, BMS, controllers)
• Exposure to

  international markets

  or multi-region product planning
• Experience in

  GTM, early-stage product launches, or customer acquisition strategy
