Product Owner

• Serve as the market expert for the development team, keeping stakeholder needs front and center.
• Translate high-level business, clinical, and performance improvement requirements into actionable user stories and backlog items.
• Conduct analysis and collaborate with developers and designers to refine backlog items, including acceptance criteria.
• Own backlog prioritization and grooming, acting as the Product Owner in an agile development team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with State EMS Data Managers to support successful data submissions and high data quality.
• Monitor data quality and submission rates, present findings to stakeholders, and advocate for development priorities accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Business Analysts to ensure features are intuitive and interoperable across products.
• Perform user acceptance testing to ensure releases meet goals and quality standards.
• Receive mentorship and formal product training to support your professional growth.
  

• Proven ability to work closely with design and development teams to achieve results
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to see both details and the big picture.
• Comfortable discussing creative ideas, technology, and user experience.
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong written communication skills, especially in crafting clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Miro, or similar.

• Interest in healthcare technology, emergency services, or healthcare delivery
  

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management roles (e.g., Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager) in software companies.
• Formal product management training (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Institute) – desirable.
• Experience in agile environments such as SAFe – desirable.
• Volunteer or clinical experience in healthcare or emergency services (e.g., EMT, nurse, paramedic) – desirable.
• Experience in fast-growing enterprise SaaS companies, especially in mission-critical environments – desirable.
• Familiarity with XML and Schematron rule sets – desirable.
• Academic background in software engineering, computer science, business information systems, clinical informatics, or related fields – desirable.
• Experience working in intercultural environments and diverse teams – desirable
