Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting all engineering requirements for service products, focusing on non-warranty and in-warranty applications. Your primary goal will be to ensure the availability and quality of vehicle service products throughout the vehicle's lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, launch, and maintenance of vehicle service products for North American Programs. - Proactively analyze technical and business data to inform product decisions and strategy. - Manage parts and components across multiple vehicle lines to ensure consistency and efficiency. - Review vehicle content specifications to align service products accordingly. - Provide critical input to the Cost, Feasibility, and Timing (CFT) process for strategic product planning. - Apply past learnings to resolve current program issues and innovate future product solutions. - Collaborate with diverse teams including Planning, Program Management, Purchasing, Vehicle Programs, and other engineering groups. - Utilize advanced CAD/CAE tools for product content navigation, technical evaluations, and feasibility assessments. - Conduct in-depth research to gather part information and develop comprehensive design verification plans. - Engage with suppliers, core engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure product manufacturability and quality control. - Implement quality tools to ensure product integrity and compliance with engineering standards and regulations. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering. - Proven experience in product development within the automotive or similar manufacturing industry. - Strong project management skills and proficiency in CAD/CAE software. - Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies. - Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable plans. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Passion for customer satisfaction and product value. Additional Company Details: - Bonus points for a Master's degree in engineering. - Experience in aftermarket, service parts, or fleet product development is advantageous. - Knowledge of Ford's internal engineering systems and processes is beneficial.
