Product Development Engineer

Position:Executive- Product Development Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross functional teams (RED, Quality, Procurement) to translate market research insights into technical product requirements and initial development roadmaps.
• Conducted pricing intelligence and sales forecasting by leveraging competitor benchmarking, market data, and third-party analytics platforms.
• Supported creation of product feasibility studies, cost analysis reports, and vendor capability evaluations for management decision making.
• Performed technical feature tracking and failure analysis of competitor SKUs to guide product differentiation and design optimization.
• Participated in vendor interactions for raw material assessment, DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews, and production planning readiness.
• Coordinated with suppliers, consultants, and industry sources to gather real-time insights on component pricing, availability, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Executed structured competitive product evaluations to identify market gaps, USP opportunities, and value-engineering potential for new product concepts
• Performed Process Validation and Risk Assessment (FMEA) for new model introductions and process changes to ensure defect prevention and compliance with quality standards.
• Led in-line quality audits, conducted real-time defect analysis, and implemented corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce recurrence and defect leakage.
• Conducted detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 4M / 5 Whys techniques for DOA, field failures, and customer complaints, driving zero-defect initiatives.
• Ensured Product Reliability by monitoring quality KPIs, recurring failures, and executing reliability improvement plans in collaboration with RED and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Developed and maintained Quality Control Plans, S0Ps, Process Flow
• Collaborated with cross functional teams (Production, Engineering, SCM, Supplier Quality) to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
