Product Development Engineer

As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading end-to-end product development for the company's bicycle products. Your responsibilities will include analyzing market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the successful execution of product development projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product concepts and specifications aligned with market needs. - Determine cost-effective yet high-performance components and materials for new models. - Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) with detailed specifications. - Conduct in-depth benchmarking of competitors across online platforms and offline retail markets. - Identify current trends, consumer preferences, and innovative features in the bicycle category. - Analyze competitor specifications and pricing strategies to enhance product competitiveness. - Engage with vendors to finalize product specifications and ensure timely component availability. - Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to meet target cost and quality standards. - Manage the end-to-end product development cycle, including timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution. - Coordinate with design, sourcing, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution. - Oversee prototype development, including drawing creation, sample approval, and testing. - Support the design and development of tooling, jigs, and fixtures as required. **Key Skills:** - B.E./B.Tech. in Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or related field. - 3 to 5 years of experience in new product development, preferably in bicycles or Auto(2W) sector. - Proficient in preparing and managing BOMs and technical specifications. - Knowledge of bicycle components, materials, and frame geometry. - Hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). - Vendor sourcing, evaluation, and cost negotiation skills. - Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO, EN, BIS). - Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability. - Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.,
