Role Overview

Product Designer (Accessories)

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative

  home decor accessories and lifestyle products

  aligned with Alankaram’s design language.
• Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings for prototyping and production.
• Collaborate with the in-house design and production teams to ensure feasibility, material efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Research global design trends, materials, and finishes to keep the accessory line competitive and fresh.
• Oversee sampling, testing, and refinement of prototypes before final approval.
• Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to create collections suitable for

  premium retail and hospitality projects

• Maintain design consistency and quality across all accessory lines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience

  in product or accessory design (preferably in furniture/luxury décor).
• Strong portfolio showcasing

  accessory design

  (lighting, mirrors, décor items, handles, etc.).
• Proficiency in design tools such as

  AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, or SolidWorks

  , plus rendering software (KeyShot, V-Ray, etc.).
• Knowledge of materials (wood, metal, glass, fabric, composites) and manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to balance creativity with functionality and production feasibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Degree in

  Industrial Design / Product Design / Furniture Design

  from a recognized institute.
