Prototyping and Testing Support: Collaborate with the Prototyping & Manufacturing Liaison to oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Electronics Engineer and Embedded Systems Engineer to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electronic components. Collaborate with the Testing & Validation Engineer to develop effective test plans and address mechanical issues identified during testing. Communicate effectively with the Production team during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Provide clear and concise technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest mechanical engineering trends, materials, and manufacturing processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. 3-4 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in home appliances, lighting etc. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
