Process Planning Engineer

As a Proving Engineer - Logistics & MHS at TVS Motor Company, your role involves designing processes and plans to achieve results aligned with new project targets or section policy targets. You will be responsible for conducting and updating PFMEA, setting manufacturing process targets, preparing project plans for material handling systems, and selecting material handling systems through techno-commercial evaluation. Additionally, you will monitor manufacturing processes, analyze and resolve line problems, conduct audits, and support proving engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting and updating PFMEA for material handling systems - Setting manufacturing process targets in line with project goals - Preparing project plans for material handling systems including facility and layout planning - Selecting material handling systems through techno-commercial evaluation - Monitoring manufacturing processes and identifying corrective actions for non-achievement - Analyzing and resolving existing line problems, training operators if necessary - Conducting process audits, providing feedback, and assisting in audits and reviews - Finalizing inbound containerization standards and processes - Managing in-house logistics including budget estimates, MHF design, and material transfer system projects - Identifying and implementing storage system projects - Identifying automation and technology projects for process optimization Qualifications Required: - Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience in MHS & Logistics - BE with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in MHS & Logistics - PGE with a minimum of 5 years of experience, specializing in supply chain management & logistics In addition, you should possess the following competencies: Functional Competency: - Product awareness - Engineering materials - Manufacturing process - Measurements & metrology - Product cost management - Manufacturing system - Problem-solving - Project management - Supply chain management Behavioural Competency: - Communication - Interpersonal relationship - Personal leadership - Rigor in execution - People leadership - Emotional intelligence - Customer centricity - Business acumen - Managing & leading change - Long-term perspective (Planning & strategizing) The company TVS Motor Company is located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India, and the position falls under the Office of Chairman Emeritus.
