Description
Collaborating with engineers and design teams in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of high-power circuits, complex high speed and detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed boards using a host of Mentor tools. Create and maintain projects using EDM Designer Develop libraries and maintain those using Mentor EDM interfaces. Create Logical symbols Land pattern footprints of all types of electronic component mechanical part sockets mechanical drawings and other PCB related parts. Conduct design feasibility studies to evaluate the PCB design goals for packaging, cost, manufacturing and system performance. Assist peers in resolution of critical design problems. Create fabrication and assembly drawings and work with internal teams and external suppliers to supply printed wiring board fabrication and assembly. Maintain Technical co-ordination with Engineering designers, Test, EMC analysis engineers and manufacturing. Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors Demonstrates Boeing behaviors Technical working knowledge of electronic components including semiconductors, passive components and electromechanical commodities and their applications. Experience in large high-density digital designs having high layer counts (24-34 layers) and containing several FPGAs (>1500 pins) along with very high-speed interfaces. Experience in ECAD/PCB/EDA library development and understanding of ECAD/PCB Layout processes. Deep knowledge of PCB materials and build stack up to enable multiple fabrication vendors. Write scripts to automate routine tasks associated with ECAD applications, databases. Placement and routing of high power, high speed digital, analog and RF designs. Deep knowledge upon placement of parts on the board, design boards using high density interconnect of highly complex designs using different HDI structures, microvias stacked and staggered. Good knowledge of plane fills referencing and copper balancing. Experience in sequential lamination stack ups and design rules using 0.5mm pitch and smaller packages. Have deep knowledge of applicable IPC standards, and DFM / DFA challenges Good Knowledge upon Aerospace processes and its applications. Experience in using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery Prepare estimations and support project deliveries to meet the critical timelines. Support technical reviews, sign offs for multiple product deliverables. Knowledge on configuration control/tools. Knowledge on product support, EQs, technical queries. Deep knowledge on industry standards to produce class 3 products with high yield. Create/Review the work instructions, checklists, standards/guideline documents. Knowledge of one or more tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, DMS, Expedition, Dxdatabook) or other related ECAD/EDA software tools. Knowledge of PCB/CCA fabrication and board manufacturing processes. Knowledge upon Product Life Cycle management and capability upon usage of tools like Teamcenter. Proficient in advanced PCB techniques like bind/buried vias, via in pad, back drilling and controlled impedance, enhancing signal performance and reliability in high speed designs.
