Presales Consultant

The Pre-sales Consultant for Port Community Systems (PCS) at our company in Thane, Mumbai should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field. Your responsibilities will include discovering customer needs, preparing RFPs, and leading the product solutioning phase of the sales process. This involves discussing with clients and internal product teams to finalize and freeze the clients" expectations for the product in terms of functionality and coverage. You should be an expert in product/solution demos with use cases and user journeys. Your role will also involve creating functional and technical proposals that clearly articulate the benefits of our product or service offerings to customers in order to secure contracts. Managing client relationships to ensure they are comfortable sharing information and ideas is crucial. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations based on a thorough understanding of the client's industry and business model. Additionally, you will be responsible for training sales staff on new products or services offered by the company to enhance their knowledge and selling abilities. Collaboration with other members of the sales team to identify growth opportunities in the market is key. You will serve as a bridge between the sales and product teams to ensure seamless coordination. The ideal candidate should possess excellent soft skills such as communication, coordination, and negotiation. Attention to detail and adherence to timelines are essential. Proficiency in using various software tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with other sales support tools is required. Strong presentation skills are a must. Candidates with experience in the Port Community industry or similar roles within software product/solutions companies are preferred. A Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, IT, logistics, or a relevant discipline is necessary. An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.,
