Job Description

Job Summary:

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling all production activities to ensure timely delivery of products in line with customer requirements. This role involves coordinating with various departments such as procurement, production, quality, and stores to optimize resources, minimize costs, and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per customer orders and demand forecasts.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
  • Monitor production workflow and adjust schedules when needed.
  • Material & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with the purchase and stores team to ensure raw materials and consumables are available on time.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels while preventing material shortages or overstocking.
  • Capacity & Resource Planning
  • Evaluate production capacity and allocate resources effectively.
  • Analyze bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track production progress against targets and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Monitor rejection, rework, and downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordination
  • Liaise with sales, design, procurement, and quality teams to align production with customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery to meet customer commitments.
  • Process Improvement
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and other productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in planning systems and processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production planning tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory management, and process optimization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing/engineering company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
