- *Workspace & Pipeline Management:* Create/manage Dev–UAT–Prod workspaces, set up deployment pipelines.
- *Access & Security:* Manage AD groups, assign roles, configure Row-Level Security (RLS).
- *Report Deployment:* Migrate reports/datasets across environments with proper version control.
- *Data Gateway & Refresh:* Configure gateways, manage credentials, monitor, and troubleshoot refresh schedules.
- *Monitoring & Optimization:* Track capacity usage, resolve refresh/access issues, optimize performance.
- *Licensing & Governance:* Manage licenses, enforce governance policies, maintain audit trails.
- *Collaboration & Communication:* Work with developers, business teams, and IT for smooth transitions.
- *Issue Resolution & Support:* Troubleshoot access issues, refresh failures, and platform-level incidents.
- *Audit & Compliance:* Maintain logs, monitor activity, and support compliance for data security and access reviews.
The Power BI Admin will manage and govern the Power BI environment to ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable reporting platform. This includes workspace creation, pipeline deployment, access control, data gateway configuration, performance monitoring, license management, and issue resolution. The role requires close collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, and IT teams, ensuring smooth report deployments and enforcing governance best practices during the migration from MicroStrategy to Power BI and beyond.
