Senior Power BI Developer / Business Intelligence Analyst

with 7-10 years of hands-on experience in BI development, data analytics, and dashboard creation. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in

, and a proven ability to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires someone who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand business requirements, and deliver scalable BI solutions that drive data-backed decision-making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain powerful and visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Perform data modeling, DAX calculations, performance optimization, and ensure scalable BI architecture.
Build and manage Power BI datasets, dataflows, and paginated reports, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources using SQL queries and advanced data transformation techniques.
Work closely with data engineering teams to create efficient data pipelines, schemas, and ETL/ELT processes.
Conduct data validation, troubleshoot reporting issues, and optimize existing dashboards for performance and user experience.
Establish Power BI governance practices including row-level security (RLS), deployment pipelines, workspace management, and version control.
Generate insights, trends, and meaningful visual storytelling that influence business strategy and operational improvements.
Train end-users, guide teams on best practices, and support self-service BI culture across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7-10 years of professional experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, and data analytics.
Expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M language), and enterprise-level dashboard building.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL development, stored procedures, joins, indexing, and query optimization.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, star & snowflake schemas, and dimensional modeling.
Experience integrating data from multiple systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Excel, APIs, Cloud Databases).
Proven ability to convert business needs into analytical solutions with clarity and accuracy.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and data storytelling techniques.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks) or cloud BI environments.
Experience with ETL tools, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced Power BI administration.
Exposure to Python/R for advanced analytics is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PL-300, Azure Data Engineer) preferred
