Designation: Post-Fix Chartering Manager

Location: Mumbai

Post-Fix Chartering Manager is responsible for managing all post-fixture activities related to chartered vessels. This includes ensuring the smooth execution of charter parties, handling post-fixture operations, and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, and vessel owners. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Post-Fixture Operations:

o Oversee the implementation and execution of charter parties after fixtures are finalized.

o Monitor vessel voyages, ensuring compliance with charter party terms and conditions.

o Coordinate with operations, logistics, and port agents to ensure smooth cargo operations.

2. Documentation and Compliance:

o Prepare and manage all post-fixture documentation, including laytime calculations, freight invoices, and demurrage/dispatch statements.

o Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.

o Maintain accurate records and documentation for all post-fixture activities.

3. Client and Stakeholder Management:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and vessel owners regarding post-fixture matters.

o Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the post-fixture phase.

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.

4. Financial Management:

o Monitor and manage the financial aspects of charter parties, including freight payments, claims, and settlements.

o Analyze voyage performance and financial outcomes, providing reports to senior management.

o Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely billing and payments.

5. Risk Management:

o Identify and mitigate risks associated with post-fixture operations.

o Ensure proactive measures are taken to prevent and resolve potential operational issues.

o Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

6. Continuous Improvement:

o Identify opportunities to streamline post-fixture processes and improve efficiency.

o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the overall performance of the chartering team.

Experience :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in chartering, post-fixture operations, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of charter party agreements, shipping operations, and maritime regulations.

Skills:

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in chartering software and tools.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Strategic planning will add on to the responsibilities.
