Job Overview

Techfour is seeking an experienced Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of expertise to join our dynamic team. The role involves leading plumbing and fire fighting system designs, performing technical analyses, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, and collaborating with clients and teams to deliver exceptional project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing and fire fighting system design for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Perform design calculations, equipment selection, and water demand analysis.
• Prepare Design Basis Reports, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates.
• Develop Plumbing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and water mass diagrams.
• Verify shop drawings and conduct quality assurance reviews of technical drawings and sheets.
• Audit construction specifications using Master Spec and Specs Intact.
• Collaborate with clients to review designs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Mentor drafting teams to ensure quality standards and adherence to project budgets.
• Support projects with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in hands-on plumbing and fire fighting systems design, including construction documentation.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Expertise in plumbing and fire fighting system analysis, design, and report writing.
• Complete familiarity with national and international design codes (e.g., IPC, UPC, NFPA, IS codes).
• Experience with water demand analysis and Plumbing SLDs.
• Knowledge of steam, utility, and process engineering is an advantage.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
• Other: Willingness to travel for project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MEP design across residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality sectors.
• Familiarity with advanced engineering tools and processes.
