Job Description

A Platform-Based Developer is responsible for building applications, tools, and integrations that run on top of existing platforms such as Salesforce, Shopify, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, etc. This role focuses on leveraging platform-specific SDKs, APIs, and frameworks rather than building everything from scratch. Key Responsibilities: Application Development on Platforms Build and customize applications using platform tools (e.g., Apex for Salesforce, Liquid for Shopify). Use low-code/no-code features where applicable. Integration Integrate third-party services using APIs, webhooks, and SDKs. Build middleware to connect platforms with internal systems. Customization & Configuration Customize platform modules to suit business requirements. Manage configuration settings and data models. Automation & Scripting Write scripts/workflows to automate platform processes (e.g., Flow in Salesforce, Logic Apps in Azure). Testing & Debugging Conduct unit testing, end-to-end testing, and platform-specific QA procedures. Documentation & Support Maintain technical documentation for builds and workflows. Support end-users and resolve platform-related issues. Skills Required: Strong understanding of the specific platform's architecture and ecosystem Proficiency in platform-specific languages (e.g., Apex, Liquid, JavaScript) REST/SOAP API integration experience Understanding of databases and data modelling Knowledge of version control (Git) Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD) for platform deployment Soft skills: problem-solving, communication, and collaboration Show more Show less
