Plant Manager

Role Overview: As the Site Manager based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain operations at the Pune facility. Your main focus will be on managing the manufacturing and distribution of chemicals and solid products across various business verticals. Your role will involve ensuring the site upholds the highest standards of Environmental, Health & Safety, quality benchmarks, timely product delivery, and adherence to budget constraints. You will play a crucial part in strategizing to enhance performance in these areas. Key Responsibilities: - Manage Environment, Health & Safety, Quality, Engineering, Production, Production Planning, Distribution Planning, Purchasing, and Warehousing & Logistics functions - Supervise approximately 20 direct and indirect reports to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies for maintaining top-level EHS standards - Lead the Operations Management Team to achieve performance objectives related to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, and Customer Satisfaction - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness by conducting thorough analyses for identifying areas of improvement - Generate monthly reports on supply chain management, highlighting KPI performance deviations and proposing corrective measures - Prepare annual operations budget and quarterly forecasts, including staffing and capital plans Qualifications Required: - Degree in a science or engineering discipline - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Plant, Site, or Production Management roles, preferably in the chemical or semiconductor sectors - Demonstrable leadership skills and expertise in managing complex manufacturing processes - Proven track record in Lean and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement methodologies - Dedication to upholding quality, environmental, health, and safety standards - Strong understanding of the chemical manufacturing landscape and experience servicing high-demand end users like automotive clients - In-depth knowledge of the chemistry industry, including key players, products, and market dynamics - Proficiency in batch production lines with high volumes and effective communication skills - Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members, anticipate and meet customer requirements, and manage competing priorities efficiently - Self-motivated, independent, and driven to achieve business objectives (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the Job Description),
