Plant Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager to oversee all operations of our non-ferrous casting facility. This role demands a proactive leader who can manage daily production, ensure quality standards, and optimize efficiency in a small company environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day manufacturing operations, including melting, molding, pouring, and finishing processes, to meet production targets and customer expectations.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor strict quality control standards to ensure all non-ferrous castings meet required specifications and minimize defects/waste.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintenance: Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all foundry equipment and machinery (e.g., furnaces, molding machines) to minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and manage a small, cross-functional team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean principles).
• Cost & Efficiency: Monitor operational costs and identify/implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Inventory & Supply Chain: Coordinate raw material procurement and manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production schedules.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a foundry or metal casting environment, with proven managerial experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of non-ferrous metallurgical processes, equipment operation, and quality control systems.
• Leadership: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a "hands-on" approach to management.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team and vendor coordination.
