Job title: Plant Head

Location: Hyderabad , Jeedimetla

Purpose of the position:

1. The Plant Head will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity.

2. Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility and take total responsibility for Profitability.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations

2. Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

3. Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping

4. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

5. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

6. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

7. Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff

8. Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime

9. Commit to plant safety procedures

10. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

11. Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements

12. Influence and learn from below

13. Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

14. Communicate with domestic and overseas customers, research, and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies.

15. Work with Supply Chain Management team to develop and improve supplier relationships. 16. Create purchase orders for SCM team to place orders.

17. Take overall responsibility of Factory Operations.

Requirements

1. Proven work experience as a Plant Head / Manufacturing Head

2. Excellent communication skills and global travel experience is an added advantage

3. Proven managerial experience

4. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)

5. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise

6. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes

7. Computer literacy is mandatory

8. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example

9. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills

10. Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Academic & trades qualifications

Essential -

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Plant Operations
• Knowledge of Quality Systems and Management
• Quality ISO experience
• Good CAD skills in any one of the CAD packages
• Work experience & skills

Essential

• 20 - 25 years in a similar field
• Exposure to Manufacturing
• 10 – 15 years in a Supervisory Role
• Experienced in MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
