Planning Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning cum Billing Engineer to oversee the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and billing of power transmission line and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate project planning and timely billing while working closely with site teams, clients, and subcontractors. Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules using MS Project/Primavera. Prepare baseline programs and update project progress. Monitor project progress against baseline and raise alerts for deviations. Resource planning and coordination with execution and procurement teams. Prepare weekly/monthly work progress reports. Billing & Estimation: Billing & Estimation:Prepare and verify RA bills (Running Account bills), final bills as per the BOQ, drawings, and site conditions. Quantity take-offs and material reconciliation. Coordination with clients for bill certification and approvals. Subcontractor billing verification and reconciliation. Maintain records for extra items, deviations, and claims. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update documentation like DPR (Daily Progress Reports), WPR (Weekly Progress Reports), and MPR (Monthly Progress Reports). Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients. Assist in audits, inspections, and client reviews. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project). Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Excel (advanced level). Sound understanding of BOQ, billing formats, contract conditions (FIDIC/CPWD/State PWD norms). Knowledge of project costing and budgeting. Familiarity with power transmission line projects including tower erection, stringing, and substation works. Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience in EHV transmission lines (132kV to 765kV), substation works, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with standards and codes used in power sector construction. Experience in EPC contracting environment is an added advantage. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with leadership qualities.
