Planning Engineer Civil

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planning Engineer Civil to join our innovative construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely delivery of complex civil engineering projects. Your expertise will help coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage resources efficiently, and streamline project workflows. Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules using advanced project management software, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather input and update schedules regularly.
• Utilize tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Prepare detailed construction plans and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroStation to support project execution.
• Conduct construction management activities including scheduling inspections, tracking progress against plans, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Integrate GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data for site analysis and system design planning related to pipelines, water treatment facilities, or wastewater systems.
• Assist in construction estimating by analyzing project scope and resource requirements to support accurate budgeting and procurement strategies.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation with precision using technical writing skills for project proposals, progress updates, and final reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management are a plus.
• Proven experience in project scheduling for civil infrastructure projects such as pipelines, water treatment plants, or land development projects.
• Proficiency with planning tools including Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and GIS software such as ArcGIS or HEC-RAS.
• Strong knowledge of construction management processes including inspection procedures and system design principles.
• Familiarity with technical standards like SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), HECRAS (Hydrologic Engineering Centers River Analysis System), and other hydraulics modeling tools.
• Experience in construction estimating, schematics development, geotechnical engineering considerations, and system design is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
