Placement Head

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning

Develop and execute the annual placement strategy in alignment with institutional goals and academic programs.

Identify target organizations and emerging industry sectors for recruitment and internships.

2. Industry Collaboration

Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships with leading IT firms, startups, and consulting organizations.

Facilitate corporate engagements such as campus recruitment drives, internship programs, and industry connect events.

3. Placement Operations

Oversee the complete placement lifecycle from company outreach and scheduling to pre-placement talks, assessments, and final selections.

Ensure seamless coordination between students, recruiters, and internal stakeholders.

4. Student Employability & Readiness

Design and implement student development initiatives, including resume building, mock interviews, and professional communication workshops.

Collaborate with faculty to integrate employability skills into the academic curriculum.

5. Market Research & Industry Insights

Conduct regular analysis of IT industry trends, recruitment patterns, and emerging technology domains.

Maintain and continuously update a strong corporate database for targeted outreach and partnership opportunities.

6. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and motivate the placement team to achieve defined targets and ensure high operational efficiency.

Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to align placement objectives with institutional vision.

7. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain comprehensive records of placement statistics, company interactions, and student progress.

Prepare detailed placement reports and dashboards for management review and accreditation purposes.
