Placement Head

Key Responsibilities:

Placement & Internship Management

• Coordinate summer and winter internships, targeting companies with high potential for conversion to final placements.
• Increase the number of Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), aiming for higher packages and reputed companies.
• Enhance placement quality by attracting top recruiters, increasing the average salary year-on-year.
• Collect job descriptions and specifications from organizations and disseminate them to eligible students in a timely manner.
• Track and maintain accurate records of all placement activities using structured methods or software.

Corporate Relationship Coordination

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential recruiting organizations.
• Invite companies for campus and virtual placement drives.
• Manage logistical arrangements for visiting recruiters, including travel, accommodation, and venue setup.
• Ensure timely follow-ups with recruiters for offer letters, joining dates, and other necessary documentation.
• Share student databases with employers based on specific job criteria.
• Provide regular feedback from the industry on trends, hiring expectations, and student performance.

Career Guidance & Student Support

• Counsel students regularly to align their career expectations with industry demands.
• Prepare students for interviews through mock sessions and individual guidance.
• Collaborate with trainers to assess student readiness for placement.
• Provide end-to-end support throughout the student career cycle, from interview preparation to onboarding.
• Work closely with the Student Placement Committee, Heads of Departments, and Deans to align placement activities with academic goals.
• Share relevant job opportunities and career advice through emails, meetings, and group sessions.
