About The Opportunity

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in English language and literature for Grades XI–XII that build comprehension, critical thinking, and written expression.
• Design formative and summative assessments, track student progress, and implement targeted remediation to raise academic performance and board exam readiness.
• Prepare students for CBSE/ICSE/state board examinations and competitive assessments through structured practice, essay-writing workshops, and revision modules.
• Maintain classroom discipline, promote student participation, and use diverse pedagogies (discussion, project work, group activities) to increase engagement.
• Communicate regularly with parents and academic leadership on student progress, behaviour, and improvement plans; participate in PTA meetings and academic reviews.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities (debates, dramatics, literary clubs), curriculum review, and mentoring of junior teachers to uphold teaching excellence.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
• Postgraduate degree in English / English Literature (MA or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as PGT English or equivalent senior-secondary teaching in CBSE/ICSE/State boards (classroom on-site).
• B.Ed or state-recognised teaching qualification and strong command of grammar, literature and written expression.
• Proven ability to design assessments, interpret results and implement data-driven interventions to improve scores.
• Excellent communication skills, classroom management and experience engaging students in higher-secondary curriculum.
• Preferred
• CTET/TET certified, experience with Cambridge/IB exposure or prior success in improving board exam outcomes.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools (LMS, SMART boards), blended learning and lesson-differentiation strategies.
