Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:-
Payroll Management:
Validate attendance from the application-based Attendance Management System.
Execute monthly payroll timelines and release salary statements on time.
Statutory Compliance:
Prepare statutory reports and ensure timely filings.
HR Operations & Employee Support:
Address and resolve payroll-related grievances promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with store managers and business heads for attendance & compliance exceptions.
Maintain employee records, documentation, and compliance audit reports.
Ensure full compliance with Shops & Establishments Act, Minimum Wages Act, and state-specific regulations.
Track contract workforce documentation, vendor compliance, and audit readiness.
Take swift corrective actions on compliance risks or escalations.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll & Statutory Compliance (retail experience preferred).
Strong expertise in attendance management systems (app-based platforms).
Proven experience managing payroll for 600+ employees.
Solid understanding of PF, PT, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, and labour law frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software.
Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with tight timelines.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, or a related field.
Additional certification in payroll, compliance, or labour laws is an added advantage
